Product Discontinuance Notification (PDN) No: 1302
Subject: Product Discontinuance Notice – ACT1 Family (namely A1010B &
A1020B)
Description:
Microsemi is announcing the discontinuance of our ACT1 family.
This letter is to inform you of Microsemi’s decision to obsolete the offering of our
A1010B and A1020B family of devices.
Reason for Discontinuance:
Microsemi is unable to purchase additional wafers, further production of this
family is not technically feasible.
Customer Impact:
Every effort should be made to place last-time buy orders in a timely manner; do not
wait until the last moment to place orders. If you anticipate that your last-time buy
requirements will exceed the current run rate, for specific devices, please provide your
Microsemi SoC Sales Representative with a forecast of the requirements.
Orders for the products affected will be noncancelable and nonreturnable. In addition,
the request date(s) cannot be pushed out.
Last time buy will be limited to available inventories only; further production of this
family is not technically feasible.
Orders will be supported on a first-come, first-served basis.
Microsemi will honor a 12 month period in which to place last-time buys and an
additional six months to take receipt of products. The key dates for the last-time buy are
as follows:
Last Order Date: June 21, 2014
Last Shipment Date: December 21, 2014
Replacement Parts:
Microsemi took steps to ensure our customers are supported with our MX product
