Discontinuance of MAX+PLUS® II Software
Description:
Intel® is announcing the discontinuance of all editions of the MAX+PLUS® II software
including the latest version 10.2 of BASELINE & Student Editions. The MAX+PLUS II
Software Updates in this link, released between 1998 and 2003, will be removed after
March 12
th
, 2021 -

Intel continues to support product issues for non-obsolete devices supported by this
software. However, the software will not be available for download after March 12
th
,
2021. The versions covered by this announcement include all variants that support
different operating systems.
This product discontinuance applies only to MAX+PLUS® II software, not to the related
Intel FPGA and CPLD devices. The software versions will no longer be available for
download after March 12
th
, 2021, do not include the latest functional and security
updates, and will not be supported with any additional functional, security, or other
updates. All versions are provided as is until March 12
th
, 2021.
Recommended Actions:
Intel recommends that users of the MAX+PLUS® II software uninstall and discontinue
use. If your device has not been made obsolete by Intel, migrate to the latest available
Intel Quartus® II software version compatible with your Intel CPLD device (see Table 1).
Users should follow the technical security recommendations detailed below.
Table 1 identifies the latest software available for those Intel CPLD devices that have a
migration path to the Intel Quartus II software.
