Dear Customer,
All of us at International Rectifier appreciate your continued use of IR’s HiRel leaded
products. HiRel showed our commitment to customer satisfaction and assured supply
for our unique customers when we took over the management of these parts from our
commercial group thus guaranteeing you continuous access to the exact same products
you had qualified and used with success on many of your longstanding programs. We
maintained all materials and processes saving our customers the expense and
inconvenience of requalification due to obsolescence or even process changes. Thus,
our initial effort was necessarily very broad in the products which we transferred to
ensure a minimum of disruption to you and your end customers. After 2 years of
additional data, and the end of the RoHs waiver is now on the horizon, we feel we need
to start the process of removing those parts which have low activity/ sales in the last
three years. Of course, if you do see a potential need for these parts, please contact us
immediately and we can discuss options for supporting your needs into the future.
When alternative parts cannot be identified, we will work with you to ensure continued
support including; consider inventory staging, delaying EOL or removing from EOL, as
your needs and your end customer’s needs dictate.

Product discontinuance is due to low activity/sales.
Reason For End-Of-Life:
Product volumes do not warrant continued manufacturing.
