TITLE: Discontinuation of Non Lead-free Part Numbers for Bridge & Axial Plastic
Rectifier Products
DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE:
Vishay General Semiconductor would discontinue the use of non lead-free terminal plating part numbers
for Bridge & Axial Plastic Rectifier products. Only lead-free part numbers would be available for affected
products. A lead-free part number is designated with a suffix code after the core part number, but before
the package code as the following:
-E3 for tin plating
-E4 for nickel or silver plating
CLASSIFICATION OF CHANGE:
Discontinuation: of non-lead-free Bridge & Axial Plastic Rectifier products
REASON FOR CHANGE:
Commercial environmental concerns (lead content) and simplification of ordering part numbers. These
products have been lead-free by design for years
EXPECTED INFLUENCE ON QUALITY/RELIABILITY/PERFORMANCE:
Not applicable.
