Description of Withdrawal/Discontinuance:
Texas Instruments, Incorporated (TI) is announcing the discontinuance of the
TEMPEST/INFERNO LM3S Product. Replacement devices are available and listed in the
Product Affected Section. A lifetime buy is also being offered with the dates given above,
contingent upon a signed Limited Warranty Letter by the customer. See the Limited Warranty
Letter in the Appendix Section of this document.
TEMPEST/INFERNO LM3S Errata Document (Literature Number: SPMZ861) includes description
of erratum LM3SMEM#13 / LM3SMEM#14 at www.ti.com.
Reason for Withdrawal/Discontinuance:
This product is being discontinued due this device under certain conditions can experience
flash corruption which could adversely affect the customer’s end application. The customer
impact depends on multiple variables including storage time after programming prior to use in
the application as well as the system power supply robustness.
