Description of Change:
The product datasheets are being updated to include existing errata.
• TI’s Analog procedure has been to publish errata to product folders with no product
change notification, as errata are application specific.
• Beginning in March 2014, device errata related updates will be made in the device
datasheet itself, which requires a review by the TI MCCB (Major Change Coordination
Board).
• If the change is considered to be impactful to the customer a PCN (Product Change
Notification) will be issued per TI’s guidelines:
• http://focus.ti.com/quality/docs/gencontent.tsp?templateId=5909&navigationId=11224&
contentId=5020
• This PCN for the I²C family is issued to align with new process, and ensure all customers
who have used the affected devices are aware of the errata.
Upgraded devices with errata free versions as well as with improved performance are currently
being released. However, there are no plans to EOL (End of Life) any I²C devices, TI maintains
the same level support for all products.
