KEMET Electronics Corporation announces full flexibility of manufacturing
operations for Tantalum Polymer SMD Commercial Grade Capacitors designated
as T521 Series between the two qualified manufacturing locations:
KEMET, North America (Simpsonville, SC-USA/Victoria, Tamps – Mx)
KEMET, Asia (Suzhou, Jiangsu – China)

Change
Tantalum Polymer SMD Commercial Grade Capacitors from the T521 Series with
case sizes V (7343-20), D (7343-31) and X (7343-43) and within 16-50V rated
voltage will be manufactured and shipped from either of the two qualified
manufacturing locations.
Justification and
Benefits
Expansion of full flexibility between both manufacturing locations will help to
ensure the shortest delivery times and optimal output of T521 Series with no
impact to quality or performance.
This action re-starts production of T521 Series 16-50V products in our North
America location in order to support customer demand. These impacted products
were manufactured and shipped in the past from this North American location.
The T521 63-75V will continue to be manufactured in our North American
location.
The shipment from the two qualified manufacturing locations will have no impact
in form, fit, and function of our Tantalum Polymer SMD Commercial Grade
Capacitors.
The part number is not changing.
Effective Date and
Identification
KEMET will start sourcing production shipments from both locations by April
2019.
Component manufacturing locations can be distinguished by the Country of
Origin (COO) marked on the reel labels and on the shipment box label. Mexico

China will be the declared COO locations.
